Once again, Madonna showed her dominance over Lady Gaga while also apologizing to the people of Toronto for accidentally referring to them as “Boston” during her performance at Scotiabank Arena last Friday (January 12). In a TikTok video, the 65-year-old Queen of Pop asked the audience, “Are you guys mad at me because I said, “Hello, Boston? I am sorry. What kind of f***ed up s*** is that? That would be like if you guys were saying, “Hey, Lady Gaga’s playing tonight!” I would not like that.” Madge then doubled down on her insult of Gaga, saying, ‘I mean, you know, nothing against Lady Gaga. Love her. I do! I love anyone shorter than me.’ Madonna called out Gaga for creating the 2011 song Born This Way, which more than resembled her established 1989 hit Express Yourself. Madonna famously called Lady Gaga (born Stefani Germanotta) “reductive” on 20/20 in 2012. The self-made superstar performed a mash-up of the two tracks during her 88-date MDNA Tour, which was notable for having her 2008 song “She is Not Me” bookend it.
