Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas posted a joint statement to Turner’s Instagram on Wednesday addressing their divorce, writing that they “have mutually decided to amicably end [their] marriage.” It continued, “There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children.” Jonas filed for divorce in Miami on Tuesday after four years, citing that “the marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken.” Page Six reported yesterday that the catalyst was Jonas seeing or hearing the actress do something via a Ring camera that made him realize their marriage was over. The specific details of the footage are unknown. An insider told TMZ earlier in the week that the couple’s problems were due to their differing lifestyles, with Jonas preferring to stay home and Turner loving to party. But social media quickly pointed out that the two previously said the opposite about each other in recent years.
