Ed Sheeran gave the Boston Music Project Youth Group a big surprise when he performed with them at their concert on Sunday (7-3).

In a clip posted online, Sheeran is seen singing an acapella version of “The Hills of Aberfeldy” from his new album Subtract.

He told the young musicians, “You guys are fantastic. Thanks for letting me play with you.” He also sat in the audience and watched them perform.

Before he left he posed for photos and in one clip you can see him sitting in the grass and chatting with audience members.

Sheeran has made several surprise appearances with youth musicians while he’s on the road.
