Sia recently revealed that she is on the autism spectrum.

The “Chandelier” singer told Carolyn Wiger on Rob Has a Podcast, “For 45 years, I was like, ‘I’ve got to go put my human suit on.’ And only in the last two years have I become fully, fully myself.”

In addition to her new diagnosis, Sia also shared that she is now sober.  She said, “I’m on the spectrum, and I’m in recovery and whatever – there’s a lot of things.”

In 2020, Sia came under fire for the way autism was depicted in her directorial debut, Music.  Critics also slammed the singer for casting Maddie Ziegler, who is neurotypical, in the lead role. At the time, Sia defended herself saying, “My heart has always been in the right place.”
