Having to always change up your password can be annoying, and although it’s tempting to go with something simple, according to a new study, they suggest ‘hackers can crack the easy options in less than a second.’

 

 

 

 

NordPass complied a list of the top 200 most commonly used passwords from around the world and in 30 different countries.  Their list used data from independent researchers who specialize in this area.  According to their 2022 report, the worst password you can use is ‘password.’  ‘Password’ is ‘the most common password’ followed by the second-easiest password which is ‘123456.’

According to NordPass’ website, “In Canada, for instance, “hockey” ranked No. 12, while “baseball” held that same spot in the United States. Italy had words like “ciao” and “juventus,” a soccer reference, in the top 10, while the U.K. also showed its  football-loving mindset with “liverpool” and “arsenal” high on its list.”
