'Euphoria' Wins Big at the 2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards

Hosted by Vanessa Hudgens, last night (June 5) was all about the 2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards, where ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ and ‘Euphoria’ were the top winners.

Euphoria received four awards – best show, best performance in a show (Zendaya), best fight (Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie), and here for the hookup.  Spider-Man: No Way Home, which was the top-grossing film in 2021, took home best movie and best performance in a movie for Tom Holland.  Disney’s Loki also won two awards – breakthrough performance for Sophia Di Martino and best team for its stars.

Jennifer Lopez was then honoured with the Generation Award: “I look at those movies and I see all the wonderful people that I’ve been blessed to know and to work with. You’re only as good as the people that you work with, and if you’re lucky, they make you better. And I have been very lucky in that regard. As an actor, I’m not any of the women that I’ve played, but there’s a part of what is deeply true to me in each one of those characters,” JLo said during her acceptance speech.

Olivia Rodrigo won her first MTV Movie & TV Award for her film, ‘Sour,’ “This album means so much to me.  It was so fun to make a film to give it more context and meaning.”
