The United Nations released their 10th annual report on its ranking of the happiest countries in the world.  The data was collected by Gallup World Poll, and factors that played into the rankings include life evaluations, positive emotions, and negative emotions.

 

For its fifth year in a row, Finland takes the top spot as the worlds happiest country followed by Denmark, Iceland at No.3, and Canada ranking in at No.15.

Lara Aknin, one of the co-authors of the report, said in a press release, “Data considered in the World Happiness Report offers a snapshot of how people around the world evaluate their own happiness and some of the latest insights from the science of well-being.  This information is incredibly powerful for understanding the human condition and how to help people, communities, and countries work toward happier lives.”
