Post Malone has released an amazing cover of Hootie and the Blowfish’s Only Wanna Be With You from 1995.  Post’s rendition of Only Wanna Be With You was performed at the celebration virtual concert for Pokémon Day (Feb. 27), where they celebrated the brands 25th anniversary.

The anniversary event was viewed for free on the official Pokémon YouTube and Twitch channels, and on Pokémon’s 25th-anniversary website.

And coming in the fall, Pokemon 25: The Album.  The album, by Universal Music Group’s Capitol Records, will include 14 tracks and according to Rolling Stone, “The Album will feature Katy Perry, J Balvin, Post Malone, and more.  This new album is part of the celebration of Pokemon’s 25th anniversary.  They will each release a song that is inspired by the Pokemon franchise, and each song’s release will be joined by a music video and an exclusive merchandise collection celebrating each artist and Pokemon.  There will also be other songs from some of the buzziest new artists from around the world, and these songs will be released in very ‘Pokemon’ ways.”
