Ariana Grande continues to smash chart records as ‘positions’ is her FIFTH album to debut at number #1 on the Billboard charts. ‘positions’ dropped on October 30^th and has already passed 100 million streams on Spotify, making it her 53rd song to achieve this! Ari also chatted with Zach Sang about ‘positions’ and how important we should be taking this pandemic.

With the celebration of Joe Biden’s victory over Donald Trump, Miley Cyrus’ ‘Party in the USA’ , which was released in 2009, saw a massive streaming spike! The song is now back on US iTunes charts, and was streamed over 312k times on Spotify! To show her excitement over the win as well, Miley posted the celebratory video featuring Biden and Kamala, with ‘Party in the USA’ in the background.

The MTV EMAs took place on Sunday with their first ever virtual show. The awards show featured a ton of big names with BTS, Doja Cat, Cardi B, David Guetta, Lady Gaga and DJ Khaled all taking home some MTV hardware! BTS were the BIG winners of the evening, with a total of 4 awards won: best song, best group, best virtual live and biggest fans, and Lady Gaga took home the biggest award of the night: best artist.

Our favourite game show host and beloved Canadian icon Alex Trebek passed away on November 8 at the age of 80 due to his battle with pancreatic cancer.

The likes of Charlie Puth, John Legend, and our Prime Minister Justin Trudeau all shared an outpour of emotion on social media, reflecting on his impact all over the world, and how great of a loss this truly is.
