BTS took over the Today Show stage on Thursday (Sept. 10) and performed their No.1 hit, Dynamite.  The group also performed ‘Anpanman,’ which is off their 2018 studio album, Love Yourself: Tear.

Dynamite reached No.1 on the iTunes charts in more than 100 regions within the first 24 hours of its release, as well as racking up more than 17.5 million U.S. streams.  The music video currently has over 180 million views on YouTube.

Talking with The Today Show, the group explained why they decided to record a record in English.  RM shared, “When we first listened to the demo, we just loved it as it is.  So, we thought, ‘Why not just keep it this way?’ So we just kept the demo, recorded it and this became a whole new challenge for us, too.”  V then added, “I hope fans will draw a lot of energy from this new song.”

The group also revealed they have a new album currently in the works, “It’s going to be new and fresh, and it’s going to be a little different from the single ‘Dynamite’ as well.  That’s all I can say,” RM teased.
