With only a 16-hour notice, Taylor Swift dropped her eighth studio album, Folklore last week along with a music video for the album’s first single, Cardigan.  Since then, the album has managed to break major music records – selling 1.3 million copies worldwide in just one day, it broke the record for ‘most first day streams by a female,’ streaming 80.6 million and it became the most-streamed pop album on Apple Music, reaching 35.47 million streams within 24 hours.

TSwift is back with yet another surprise for the fans – she dropped a newer version of the ‘Cardigan’ music video, titling it, ‘Cabin In Candlelight.’

The video takes Swifties behind-the-scenes during the album’s photoshoot.

Talking about ‘Cardigan,’ co-writer Aaron Dessner tells Rolling Stone, “I just sent her [Taylor] a folder of things I’d done recently and was excited about.  Hours after, she sent back a fully written version of ‘Cardigan.’ It was like a lightning bolt struck the house.  She just dove into it and embraced this emotional current, and I hope that’s what people take out of it: The humanity in her writing and melodies. It’s a different side to her. She could have been every bit as successful just making these kinds of songs, but it’s so great that she’s also made everything that she’s ever made, and this is a really interesting shift, and an emotional one.”
