Mindy Kaling’s ‘Never Have I Ever’ has been renewed for a second season!  The show’s entire cast, including Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Darren Barnet and Paxton Hall-Yoshida revealed the exciting news on a Zoom call, which was later posted on Instagram.

Created by Lang Fisher and Mindy Kaling (The Office), the show’s synopsis reads, “Never Have I Ever tells the story of a young Indian girl raised in America, Devi, dealing with the recent death of her father as she also navigates the more traditional perils of high school like finding a boyfriend and upping her popularity.”

During the premiere for season 1, Mindy told Netflix, “Nerds are not only the wallflowers and the quiet ones,” she said. “We’re ambitious, we have obnoxious personalities sometimes, we want to have sex and dreams like all the other kids.  I felt lucky to be able to do a show about an Indian nerd who’s also badly behaved … because I’m deeply familiar with it.”
