Toronto singer and producer Sarcastic Sounds is July’s ‘One To Watch’ artist with a new single out now titled, Laugh.

Speaking about his new single, Sarcastic Sounds says, “This is a song I wrote in December while I was in LA.  I was doing really long, sh***y sessions most days, and recorded this little by little when I would get home to the various Airbnbs I was staying at.  It’s kind my usual melancholic breakup vibe, which is basically just my permanent mood.  It’s more depressing than it is nostalgic though, and it has a lot more lyrics than usual because it’s me singing.”

Below are the lyrics to ‘Laugh.’

As my life divides in half
And I’ll try to sleep in privacy at last
Ooohoooh
Run with a needle or a gun
And I’m all alone and comfortably numb
Well I’m tryin too
Pick myself up from the pieces
And find another reason to pull through
But my head is underwater
I don’t think that I should bother without you
You stay, but I’ll know you’ll slip away
In all honesty you probably need space
Sleep, only keeps you in my dreams
And it’s killing the ability to be, be
When nothing hurts anymore
Is somehow worse than before
And everything has crumbled to the floor
Floor
Im trying to
Pick myself up from the pieces
And find another reason to pull through
But my head is underwater
I don’t think that I should bother without you
