Demi Lovato is on the cover of this month’s Harper’s Bazaar magazine and she’s opening up about her friendship with Ariana Grande.

Demi reveals, “I love the fact that Ariana and I have such a supportive friendship because it’s hard to find.  Two women who are in a competitive industry—the whole world seems to want to pit women against each other, so it would be so easy to do that.”

Last August, Demi celebrated her birthday in London and attended Ariana’s Sweetener Tour. Afterwards, Demi shared a sweet video of her and Ariana backstage with the caption reading, “This was too sweet not to post…before show prayer they did this for my bday. I’m so so proud of you @arianagrande. You f*****g killed that!!! I love you tons.”

Demi and Ariana also have THIS in common – their manager, Scooter Braun! As Scooter explains, it was Ariana who ‘urged him to sign Demi to his management.’ “Demi and Ariana went for coffee, and Ariana called me and said, ‘You have to do this. I want her with us. She’s in our family. She’ll be protected, she’s my friend, I want her with us. I want you to help her.’  I just thought that was really, really cool and very different from what you expect in today’s music industry,” recalled Scooter.

As E! News reports, Grande and Lovato became friends in 2013 when they both performed at Wango Tango. Their pairing was still going strong in March 2018 when Lovato told Billboard, “The people that aren’t willing to chill with you at home are the type of people that just want to be seen with you. When Ariana Grande and I hang out, it’s super chill.
