With the Coronavirus pandemic hitting hard during the Spring/Summer months, many of our favourite festivals and concerts have been postponed to September and later.

The Ultra Music Festival in Miami was the first massive festival to cancel their event, announcing there will be no Ultra in Miami until NEXT March.

Coachella followed suit shortly after, but rather than cancelling the fest, they’ve postponed it until October. The company made an official announcement of the postponement: “At the direction of the County of Riverside and local health authorities, we must sadly confirm the rescheduling of Coachella and Stagecoach due to COVID-19 concerns. While this decision comes at a time of universal uncertainty, we take the safety and health of our guests, staff and community very seriously. We urge everyone to follow the guidelines and protocols put forth by public health officials.”

Other festivals that have been rescheduled do to COVID-19 are Treefort Music Festival, which brings over 400 bands to one spot in Idaho, and has now been moved to September. New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival rescheduled from April to sometime in in the Fall, and The Shaky Knees Musical Festival has also been moved from May to October.

With all these festivals being rescheduled to later in the year due to mandatory self-isolation, the anticipation will be bigger than ever. Also, it provides something positive to look forward to in these confusing times.
