Katy Perry is on the January cover of VOGUE India and she’s opening up about dealing with depression, having someone like Orlando Bloom by her side and wanting to go back to school.

Opening up about her battle with depression, Katie says, “I became depressed and I did not want to get out of bed.  In the past, I had been able to overcome it, but this time something happened that made me fall down too many flights of stairs.  I had to really go on a mental health journey.  I’ve gone to therapy, been through the Hoffman Process, don’t plant medicine, identify negative behaviours, moods, and ways of thinking.”

And through it all, Katy’s fiancé Orlando Bloom has been a shoulder to lean on, “And I have a partner who is also all about finding a balance – Orlando, who is on a spiritual journey of his own.  He’s an anchor who holds me down, and he’s very rea;/  He’s not the number one fan of Katy Perry, but he’s the number one fan of Katheryn Hudson.”

Katy also revealed to VOGUE India that she plans on going back to school, in hopes to learn about psychology and philosophy, “At 35, I’ve checked many boxes off my list and I’m not being challenged to dream new dreams.  I want to be involved in environmental companies, I want to go back to school and I want to influence good people to run for office.”
