My Own Dance, co-written with Dan Reynolds (Imagine Dragons), Justin Tranter and John Hill is a “response track  to people who lamented the lack of boozy bangers on Rainbow,” according to Rolling Stone.  During a recent interview, Kesha opened up about her new album, “I kind of felt like I didn’t have the right to be happy and write happy songs, and then ‘My Own Dance’ was the first pop song I wrote.  I was like, ‘Fine. I’ll go write a f*****g pop song.’ And then I was like, ‘Wait, this is superfun. Why am I keeping myself from the greatest pleasure of my life?’ And I have to say, that song, and that conversation with my brother, put me on the path of finding probably the most severe happiness I’ve ever had my entire life.”

Both My Own Dance and Raising Hell will be featured on Kesha’s new album, High Road, which is set to drop on Jan. 10, 2020.

In addition, the makeup Kesha is rocking in her new video is all from Kesha’s new makeup line, Kesha Rose Beauty.  In a statement, Kesha shares, “I feel like my face has been used to try so many different products over the years and I love the transforming thing that makeup can do and [how] you feel more beautiful.  I also love how much fun I have had playing with makeup my entire career and my entire life.  My relationship to makeup is not purely to make me feel perfect or beautiful or filtered.  It’s more to make me feel like my authentic insides are being shown on the outside.”
