“Old Town Road” is now the longest running #1 song on Billboard Hot 100 chart.

17 weeks at #1! (and likely more!)

Lil Nas X took the record away from two songs.

First was “Despacito” by Luis Fonsi ft. Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber which spent 16 weeks at #1 in 2017.

Justin kept his message short:

The other song was “One Sweet Day” by Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men.

That song held the record for 23 years, originally holding #1 for 16 weeks from 1995 to 1996.

Then there’s Billy Ray Cyrus who’s featured on the track:

Back when OTR beat “Uptown Funk”, Bruno Mars sent his congrats.
