Netflix has decided to delete a suicide scene from its series “13 Reasons Why”.

The decision was made after medical experts believe it could lead to more suicides.

Netflix released a statement explaining more:

The controversial show has divided people: some saying it has started the conversation around mental health and suicide while encouraging some to reach out for help. Others say it has lead to kids taking their lives.

One U.S. study showed that in 2017 when the series debuted there was a rise in suicides in teens in the U.S. by almost a third.

Coincidence? Co-relation? Not enough evidence either way.

When the first season was release, Katherine Langford, who plays Hannah Baker, posted a note to fans:

Season three is in the works with no release date yet.
