Cameron Boyce, known for roles as Luke Ross on Disney Channel’s series Jessie and in the Grown Ups movies, has died.

He was only 20.

He also starred in the tv films Descendants, the third to be released later this year.

His family released a statement which explains his sudden death:

He died in his sleep “due to a seizure which was a result of an ongoing medical condition for which he was being treated….The world is now undoubtedly without one of its brightest lights, but his spirit will live on through the kindness and compassion of all who knew and loved him.”

Skai Jackson played Cameron’s younger sister on Jessie.

They were first cast on the show when she was 9 and he was 12.

Cameron played Adam Sandler’s son in both Grown Ups movies, and Adam post his condolences.

Cameron had recently been honoured by the Thirst Project.

He’d been working to bring awareness to the Global Water Crisis.

He had raised $30,000 to build two wells in Swaziland.
