Demi Lovato announced earlier on Instagram that she will be taking a break from Social Media.  Demi writes, “Taking a break for a while.  Be kind”

Sources reveal Demi’s break stems from Taylor Swift and the aftermath of her latest drama with Scooter Braun, who is also Demi’s new manager.  Scooter recently made a $300 million deal and purchased Big Machine Records, which is Taylor’s previous record company.  In addition, Scooter is now the owner of Taylor’s music catalogue.  Taylor then accused Scooter of bullying her over the years and it sparked major online drama.  Celebs like Halsey, Cara Delevingne and Brendon Urie (to name a few) showed their support for Taylor while Justin Bieber and Demi Lovato defended Scooter.

Over the weekend, Demi posted two Insta-stories, one saying, “I have dealt with bad people in this industry and Scooter is not one of them. He’s a good man.  Personally, I’m grateful he came into my life when he did. Please stop ‘dragging’ people or bullying them. There’s enough hate in this world as it is.”  And her second post read, “Y’all can come after me all you want but I’m always gonna stay loyal to my team.  I value loyalty more than most people in this world and if my name is gonna be brought into conversations I’m gonna stand up for myself and the ones on my team.”

It didn’t stop there – Demi then somewhat got into it with Todrick Hall, a friend to Taylor and a former client of Scooter’s.  According to Todrick’s Instagram post, he writes, “For those asking, I left Scooter Braun a long time ago … I am saddened by this news, but not shocked.  He is an evil person who’s only concern is his wealth and feeing his disgusting ego.  I believe he is homophobic and I know from his own mouth that he is not a Swift fan.”

In a response, Demi wrote back, “Hey boo, idk you or anything and this isn’t hate, but making claims that someone is homophobic is really serious.  Please don’t spread information that isn’t true because I can guarantee you, Scooter isn’t.  As a member of the LBGTQ+ community myself, he wouldn’t have signed me if he was.  No hate just trying to clear that up.”

Todrick came back at Demi with the following responses:

Hopefully Demi doesn’t stay away for too long from social media!
