Kicking off your Easter weekend, it’s the Toronto Beaches Lions Club Easter Parade.  The parade goes down on Sunday April 21 from 2PM-4PM and below is the route map to get a closer look at the Easter Bunny!

Reminder: There will be road closures on Sunday.  Below are the streets and times of closures to help you navigate around the 6ix.

 

  • Queen St E – Munro Park Ave to Fallingbrook Rd (closed) (10:00am – 11:00am)
  • Nursewood Rd (closed) (11:00am to 1:30pm)
  • Queen St E – Munro Park Ave to Fallingbrook Rd (closed) (11:00am – 1:30pm)
  • Queen St E – Woodbine Ave to Fallingbrook Rd (closed)  (1:30pm to 4:30pm)
  • Lake Shore Blvd E – Woodbine Ave to Coxwell Ave (closed) (2:00pm to 4:30pm)
  • Woodbine Ave – Queen St E to Lake Shore Blvd E (closed) (2:00pm to 4:30)

Transit

  • The TTC is running on holiday service on Good Friday and Sunday service on Easter Sunday.
  • GO Transit is on a Sunday schedule on Good Friday and a weekend schedule on Easter Sunday.

 

Government offices and other services

  • Government offices, including municipal buildings like Toronto City Hall, are closed from Friday to Easter Monday. Also, mail won’t be delivered on Good Friday and Monday.
  • Banks will be closed on Good Friday and for the branches that are open on Sunday, they will be closed on Easter Sunday.
  • All Toronto Public Library branches will be closed Friday, Sunday and Monday, but are open on Saturday.
  • In Toronto, daytime curbside residential collection will take place on Good Friday and Easter Monday.

 

Food and drink

  • All LCBO and Beer Store locations will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Sunday.
  • Most grocery stores will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Sunday, but some are open. Call ahead for hours.

 

Get Your Shopping On

 

While most malls in the GTA are closed both Good Friday and Easter Sunday, below are the malls that are open to get your long weekend shopping on!

 

 

  • Eaton Centre: Open Good Friday (11am – 7pm) and Easter Sunday (noon to 5pm)
  • Promenade: Open Good Friday (11am – 6pm) and closed Easter Sunday
  • Toronto Premium Outlets: Open Good Friday (9:30am – 7pm) and Easter Sunday (11am – 7pm)
  • Upper Canada Mall: Open Good Friday (11am – 6pm) and closed Easter Sunday
