It was announced that singer Adele and husband Simon Konecki have officially called it quits!  In a statement that was published by The Associated Press, it reads, “Adele and her partner have separated.  They are committed to raising their son together lovingly. As always they ask for privacy. There will be no further comment.”

Adele and Simon share a son, Angelo, who was born in 2012.  The pair began dating in 2011 and married in March of 2017 during a live concert in Australia.

During Adele’s interview with Vanity Fair in 2016, she called him ‘perfect’ and explained, “I have no desire to be with anyone in show business, because we all have egos. He’s not threatened by any stage of my life that I’m going for, and that’s an amazing thing. It’s the most serious relationship I’ve ever been in; we’ve got a child together and we live together.”

Adele continued, “After releasing my first album, all the other people I ever was with were so insecure about themselves — they couldn’t handle it at all. When I try to describe this to my friends, they don’t always get it, because they go out with people that are our age, but Simon is already who he is, and I’m still becoming who I’m going to be.  He’s confident. He’s perfect.”

Prior to their separation, while Adele was performing in Nashville, Tennessee, she told the thousands of fans in attendance that night, “My son is about to turn four very, very soon. I’m starting to get very emotional about it, because I feel like once they turn four, they’re not really your actual baby any more.  So my womb is starting to ache a little bit. It’s like, ‘Baby, baby, baby. Need a baby, need a baby.’ I’m not pregnant. I won’t get pregnant until the end of the tour.”

No other details have been revealed at this time.
