This gave me goosies everywhere!

In Ariana Grande’s recent Instagram Story, she opened up about her mental health struggles and even shared photos of her brain scan that showed ‘levels of PTSD’.

Although Ariana doesn’t give a specific date as to when these photos are taken, many can assume it was following the Manchester bombing that happened in 2017 following Ariana’s concert. The bombing tragically killed 20 people, and has had a huge effect on Ariana and her mental state.

In Ariana’s photo, she includes side-by-sides of a what a healthy brain looks like in comparison to a brain that’s suffering from PTSD. Ari writes, “Hilarious and terrifying. Guys…”  She then posted a photo of her brain scan followed by the caption “not a joke“.

Well, it didn’t look too healthy.

While chatting with ELLE during her July interview, Ariana spoke about life after the Manchester bombing, “When I got home from tour, I had really wild dizzy spells, this feeling like I couldn’t breathe.  I would be in a good mood, fine and happy, and they would hit me out of nowhere. I’ve always had anxiety, but it had never been physical before. There were a couple of months straight where I felt so upside down.”

During her interview with Ebro Darden on Beats 1, Ariana pointed out how the bombing ‘permanently affected’ her, “We see this s**t on the news. [And] you feel bad, you tweet [about] it, you post a picture, you send your condolences, you say something and then you move on.  [But] people are permanently affected by this s**t.  Mental health is so important. People don’t pay enough mind to it because we have things to do,” she added. “We have schedules, jobs, kids, places to be, pressures to fit in, Instagram Stories — whatever the f**k, facade you’re trying to put on, trying to keep up. People don’t pay attention to what’s happening inside.”

Seems like Ari’s fans were worried following her brain pics, because afterwards she Tweeted, “Didn’t mean to startle anyone with my brain thingy.  It just blew me away. I found it informative and interesting and wanted to encourage y’all to make sure you check on your brains / listen to your bodies / take care of yourselves too.”
