And what a year it’s been for Lady Gaga!

A hit movie under her belt, countless awards and now she can add ‘Academy Award’ to that list.  Although Last Gaga lost the award for ‘Best Actress’ she won ‘Best Original Song’ for her major hit ‘Shallow.’  And as Billboard explains, Gaga might actually capture the EGOT! And in case you haven’t figured it out, Gaga is officially the first woman in HISTORY to win a GRAMMY, a BAFTA, a Golden Globe AND an Oscar – all in the same year!

During her Oscar acceptance speech, Gaga says, “All I have to say is this is hard work.  I’ve worked hard for a long time and it’s not about winning, but it’s about not giving up. If you have a dream, fight for it. There’s a discipline for passion and it’s not about how many times you get rejected or you fall down or you’re beaten up, it’s about how many times you stand up and are brave and you keep on going.”

Following the Oscar awards, Gaga posted photo’s from the nights event, writing special messages.

On the Oscars: “A moment in my life I will never forget. My whole artistic journey flashed before my eyes. Thank you to the Academy and to the gentlemen who wrote and performed this song with me.”

On Bradley Cooper: “Nothing could be more special than sharing this moment at the Oscars with a true friend and artistic genius.”
