It was one of the most-watched movies on Netflix and it’s coming back for a sequel! I’m talking about – The Kissing Booth!!!

Now, if you haven’t seen The Kissing Booth yet (you’re crazy, get on that!) here’s a rundown: Joey King and Joel Courtney who play BFF’s Elle and Lee are true friendship goals until Elle begins to fall in love with Lee’s older brother, played by the handsome Jacob Elordi. (P.S. Joey and Jacob are actually dating in real life)

Netflix recently posted a short teaser clip, announcing Killing Booth 2 (below).

Here’s what we know so far: The news about The Kissing Booth sequel was announced on Valentine’s Day and it’s currently in production which means we could potentially see something before 2020.  Prior to the sequel announcement, Joey revealed to TV Guide the entire cast is down for a sequel, “Right now, we’re not really sure.  [The cast] would love for that to happen, but everything is still up in the air.  We’re still waiting on Netflix.”  And lastly, The Kissing Booth movie is based on the novel of the same name by Beth Reekles.  Beth published the novel at only 15-years old and since the Netflix release, fans have been wanting more.  It’s clear Beth knows the fans want a sequel.  She tweeted, “Me: I wrote other books! Someone: yeah but what about a TKB sequel?”

Beth even had a Twitter poll, with 68% of fans agreeing to a sequel.

Fans: 1 Beth: 0

Beth once told the International Business Times, “I’m not a hundred percent sure, but I think there’s a couple ways that a sequel could potentially work.  I think there could be a second movie without me having a second book.  But, at the minute, I’m just kind of crossing my fingers and hoping that someone decides that there will be one, because it did pretty well as a movie.”
