SURPRISE! There’s going to be a ‘Fast and the Furious’ ALL female spin-off!

Fast and the Furious veteran Vin Diesel snapped a selfie alongside the franchise producer Samantha Vincent and on Instagram Vin writes, “As you know, there are three new spin offs that we have promised Universal … well this week we heard a pitch for the Fast female protagonist driven spinoff I created in 2017, and you can tell by the smile on Samantha’s face it was VERY exciting.  Shout out to Nicole Perlman, Lindsey Beer, Geneva Robertson-Dworet.  Welcome to the Fast FAMILY…”

According to Entertainment Tonight, “Nicole Perlman was the co-writer on the first ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ movie and since worked on the likes of ‘Captain Marvel’ and ‘Pokémon: Detective Pikachu.  Robertson-Dworet has also worked on ‘Captain Marvel,’ while Beer, on the other hand, has worked on ‘Sierra Burgess Is A Loser.'”

As far as the new Fast and the Furious movie, long-time director Justin Lin will return to the director’s seat and as ComicBook explains, “Filming is set to begin on Fast & Furious 9 in February, and the production is set to start in London.  Diesel posted a video to social media that featured co-star Michelle Rodriquez, putting Dominic Toretto and Letty Ortiz in the spotlight again.”

On Instagram Vin says, “Crew heads to London next month for the next chapter …”
