Drake collaborated with a California-based entrepreneur by the name of Brent Hocking and according to XXL, “The beverage will come in two different non-vintage 750ml selections: Mod Reserve Champagne ($300) and Mod Rose Champagne ($400).”  The Mod Selection website states, “Mod Sélection is the purest expression of balance and terroir produced in Champagne today.  Descended from a long line of growers and vignerons, the House of Mod Sélection has a legacy dating back to 1892, having produced Champagne in an exclusive enclave of the Vallée de la Marne for over five generations. It was selected as the finest House in Champagne by award-winning wine and spirits producer Brent Hocking for its exceptional dedication to purity, balance, and finesse. The House has long-been commissioned for its remarkable Champagne by political and industry elite. Only now has this superior drinking Cuvée become available for release.”

A promotional video from Drake was released on Instagram and the caption reads, “SGWS is excited to be the exclusive distributor of @champagnepapi Mod Sélection Champagne in the United States and Canada!”

Drake says, “The product is great, the presentation is great, and hopefully the representation is great as well.  We’ll enjoy this run.  It should be a long one and a strong one.  I think the full package is there.”  And this isn’t Drake’s first ride when it comes to alcohol.  Back in 2016 he released his first whiskey called ‘Virginia Black.’

Cheers to 2019!
