Leave it up to Miley Cyrus to turn a 1953 Christmas favourite into a feminist anthem.  Since the recent debate over songs like ‘Baby, It’s Cold Outside,’ Miley flipped the script during her recent performance on The Jimmy Fallon Show and turned ‘Santa Baby’ into something no one has ever done before.

The usual lyrics go as is, “Santa baby, slip a sable under the tree for me.  Been an awful good girl, Santa baby, and hurry down the chimney tonight.  Santa baby, a ’54 convertible too, convertible too, light blue.”  Instead Miley sang, “Santa, baby, I don’t need any fancy jewelry, not me, I’ve got something else in mind Santa baby, and I don’t need your presents tonight.”

During Miley’s interview, she expressed to host Jimmy Fallon some issues she had with the original lyrics, “Look at this! ‘Slip a sable under the tree for me.’  Do you even know what that is? It’s a fur and I’m vegan! And look at this: I’m asking for a car and a yacht and checks literally a deed to a platinum mine.  Pluis, am I saying I want to hook up with Santa is he buys me all this stuff?”

And check out some other lyrics Miley changed.

“I’ve got a baller car of my own, no loans.  And I bought it myself Santa baby.  With zero help from Elf on the Shelf.”

“Listen Santa to what I say, a girl’s best friend is equal pay.  Stop interrupting me when I talk, and don’t text me pictures of your ****.”

And lastly, “Santa baby, I’d love to know my a** won’t get grabbed, at work, by some ignorant jerk.  Tell the dirt-bags, to put away their chimneys tonight.”
