This track is giving me ALL the feels!!!

My girl Ellie Goulding is BACK with a new record along with Diplo and Swae Lee called ‘Close to Me’ and the beat is everything!

It’s been three years since we’ve heard from Ellie Goulding on a solo project. Her last studio album called Delirium was released in 2015, and along the way, she’s collaborated with Kygo (First Time), has released a few covers of ‘O Holy Night’ and a 1971 classic, ‘Vincent’, and also recorded a song for the Bridget Jones’ Baby Soundtrack (Still Falling For You, 2016).

Billboard says, “‘Close to Me’ is a defiant love song set against an electronic beat and acoustic guitar melodies. It’s a little bit soft, a little bit cocky and definitely hits the spot for those looking to sing along loud in the car. Swae Lee is smooth on his verse, and Goulding is as magnetic a force as ever.”

CLOSE TO ME

This isn’t the first time Ellie has teamed up with Diplo. They collaborated on ‘Powerful’, a song that was released back in 2015 and off of Major Lazer’s album ‘Peace Is The Mission‘.

While on BBC Radio 1, Ellie told host Annie Mac that she wrote ‘Close to Me’ six months ago while in L.A., “We [Diplo] always wanted to work together on something, but we couldn’t figure out what. This was the perfect track for him and he was really in love with it. So, we got together on it and then we tried to find, basically, the perfect kind of companion with me for it.”
