If I were to ask you, ‘What item would you say is grossly overpriced?’ what are some of the first things that come to mind?

For me, I’d say gas (I drive a six cylinder car) and cheese ($10 for a block of cheese is crazy no?)

Well, a new survey (U.S. based) asked respondents what they felt were some of the most grossly overpriced items and Roz and Mocha discussed it in the clip below.

Some of those items included:

  • MOVIE THEATER POPCORN

Bags of popcorn are shown during the Cineplex Entertainment company's annual general meeting in Toronto on May 17, 2017. Cineplex Inc. raised its dividend as it reported a first-quarter profit of $15.2 million. The movie theatre company says it will now pay a dividend of $1.74 per share on an annual basis, up from the current rate of $1.68 per share. THE CANADIAN PRESS/Nathan Denette

American Airlines is threatening to prohibit customers from making changes to nonrefundable tickets if Congress makes good on a proposal to crack down on unreasonable airline fees. American CEO Doug Parker says his airline would be acting just like many other businesses when customers want to swap their ticket for a different flight or for another day. "We - like the baseball team, like the opera - would say, 'We're sorry, it was nonrefundable,'" Parker said this week. (AP Photo/Wilfredo Lee, File)

  • Tuition

The survey then asked respondents which items they felt were grossly overpriced but still willing to pay for and those items included, skin care products, good toothpaste and good toilet paper.
