Last month a video of Mary Halsey performing Missy Elliott’s “Work It” was posted online, and people LOVED IT.

The video racked up millions of views on various platforms, and received so much attention that even Ellen caught wind of it.

Ellen is a master of making dreams come true, so naturally she invited Mary Halsey on the show to perform her version of Missy’s track… but as you’ll see, Mary was in for a little surprise.
