Earlier this week, both Spotify and Guinness World Records launched an official playlist, ‘The Year in Pop’, celebrating artists who will be featured in Guinness World Records 2019 book.

 

 

And how are the artists on this playlist determined? The Guinness website states, “With records from ‘Most streamed track worldwide’ to ‘Most followers on Instagram,’ these musicians are recognized for a variety of record-breaking achievements, including tours, online streaming, social media and even crowdfunding,”  The playlist includes amazing artists from Katy Perry to BTS and Justin Bieber.
