Ant-Man and the Wasp finally flies onto the big screen this weekend!

The film stars Paul Rudd as ‘Ant-man’, Evangeline Lilly as Wasp and Hannah John-Kamen, who you may also know from the TV series “KillJoys”, as the lead villain Ghost.

Ghost was originally a guy in the comics, and when Damnit Maurie sat down with Hannah they talked about this incredible “re-brand” of Ghost, “It was really an honour and so empowering to take an incredible character that was written so well. I’m really excited for the audience to see the bad ass element that she has.”

Also, this is the first Marvel movie to have a female character in the title role! “It’s amazing!” Hannah says. “It was an honour, I really felt like i had the free rain to create ghost from scratch because he didn’t have an origin story in the comics. I felt i could really take that character and run with it.”

 

 

Before the interview was over, Damnit Maurie had to test out some ant jokes with Hannah, and shockingly they went over very well! Plus, since Hannah played angry very well in this film, she helps Maurie out with some acting tips on how to pretend to be very angry…dddly, over a bottle of mayonnaise.
