One of my favourite Halloween movies EVER and FINALLY, the reboot has arrived!

Jamie Lee Curtis will reprise her roll as the famous Laurie Strode and Nick Castle returns as Michael Myers.  John Carpenter will serve as the film’s executive producer, it was directed by David Gordon Green and was written by David as well as Danny McBride.  Danny explains that the love he has for the original, which was made in 1978, was the reason behind the reboot, “We just love original Halloween.  There’s something so scary about how simple it was.  I had seen all the Halloween films.  We really were studying all the sequels and stuff, just to see where it exactly went wrong.  It definitely kind of felt that, as the series went on, Michael Myers became like Frankenstein and he was like the indestructible, and I think the more indestructible he was, the less scary he became.”

During an interview at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, Jamie says, “I first played Laurie Strode when I was 19 years old … 1978, we had no money when we made Halloween so now, as a 59-year-old woman, when they came to me and said they wanted me to play Laurie again, I heard what they said and said yes immediately … except for Star Wars, I can’t think of another movie where the same actor is playing the same part 40 years later.”

And this will not be like any other reboot – according to John Carpenter, “38 years after the original Halloween, I’m going to help to try to make the tenth sequel the scariest of them all.”
