I don’t even know Camila Cabello but I’m so proud of her (could be because I’m a huge fan of hers).

It was announced that Camila Cabello has made major history.  According to Billboard, Camila’s first solo-single ‘Havana’ is now Spotify’s ‘most-streamed song by a solo female artist’ and has been streamed over 887 million times.  This very record was once held by Sia for her hit, ‘Cheap Thrills’ AND Billboard reports that Camila is the first solo Latina artist to break this record.  In an interview with Rolling Stone, Camila explains, “We reworked it and reworked it and reworked it.  I would go to a studio session and get another person I really vibed with and try to come up with something, and nothing worked.”

Along with Shawn Mendes, The Weeknd and Cardi B, Camila’s solo-debut album has been listed as one of TIME’s best albums of 2018 so far.

TIME explains, “It’s the slow-burning range of emotion that she displays over the course of Camila that gives the album its consistency.  From the breathy, percussive drive of ‘Never Be The Same’ to the low-key balladry of the acoustic ‘Real Friends’, Cabello’s groove is in infectiously simple song-writing and melodies that play with her flexible voice.”

And that’s not all …

She’s currently on tour with Taylor Swift and Chair XCX (Reputation Stadium Tour).

Sidenote: Camila admits that it was Taylor who helped her when she made the decision to leave Fifth Harmony; Taylor had suggested to write out her feelings through song.

She was recently on the cover of ‘Rolling Stone’.

And she was one out of the many beautiful ladies in Maroon 5’s newest music video for ‘Girls Like You’

Oh, and we can’t forget, Camila dropped a new song featuring Pharrell Williams called ‘Sangria Wine.’

Camila has been super busy this year, even being hospitalized with dehydration right after the 2018 Billboard Music Awards, but she is a powerhouse with definitely more to come!
