Congratulations Mr. Malone—you have officially outdone yourself!

The rapper performed at Echo Beach on Sunday, May 27 and completely dominated the stage during the stop on his Beerbongs & Bentleys Tour.

Since coming out with his latest album—fun fact: Post Malone wrote this album two years ago, but only released it on April 27, 2018—Posty’s fans have been patiently waiting for him to arrive in the Six, and, although it took him awhile to get here, it was so worth the wait.

Post performed several songs from his earlier album Stoney, like “Go Flex” and “White Iverson,” a track which caught the attention of the music industry three years ago, ultimately thrusting Post Malone’s memorable voice and heavy lyrics into the spotlight.

Throughout the evening, it was very apparent how humble and appreciative Post Malone is to all of his fans. After almost every song he thanked the thousands of people who were in attendance for coming to his show to see him perform. The rapper also shared stories of devoted fans, who he was singing about, the motive behind certain songs, and how he came to be a musician.

Halfway through the set, Post grabbed a chair and his acoustic guitar to sing his more melodic songs like “Stay” and “Feeling Whitney,” and the audience joined in, gleefully singing along.

After his mellow acoustic performance, Post Malone stood up and began smashing his guitar to pieces as a segue into his massive single “Congratulations,” with which he closed out the show.
