Taylor Swift might be an internationally-renowned pop star, but she by no means suggests that she’s forgotten her roots.

On Saturday, the bubbly 28-year old singer surprised the tiny crowd at the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, Tennessee, gracing the stage next to the imitable country king Craig Wiseman. The pair joked around, Wiseman donned bunny ears (in the name of Easter) and the two iconic acts even shared some shots of Fireball. *shudders*

After the crowd’s standing ovation for Swift wore off, she thanked them all for their warmth and kindness in a pretty sweet speech. “I wanted to say a big thank you to the Bluebird Cafe,” Swift said. “I think any songwriter in town would echo my sentiments and say that this is kind of the only place where this exists — this particular place where you get to come and hear the writer’s take on the songs they’ve put out into the world.”

The Nashville native started writing songs when she was 14, and she shot to fame after releasing “Tim McGraw” in 2006 while living in Music City.
