According to Economic Times, Dua Lipa is now the youngest female artist ever in history to surpass one billion views on YouTube for her latest track, ‘New Rules’.

Economic Times says, “It took 223 days to reach that total and helped build the singer’s subscriber base from 800,000 to 4.9 million.  ‘New Rules’ is the 100th video to reach an audience of one billion on the video-sharing website.”

On February 14th. Dua Lipa tweeted about her new found-achievement and posted, “I picked up the phone and found out I am the youngest female artist to hit 1 BILLION views on a music video #newrules WHAAAA!!!”

Dua’s ‘New Rules’ now beats Justin Bieber’s ‘Where Are U Now’ (June 2015) along with Pitbull and Kesha’s ‘Timber’ (November 2013).

In addition, Dua is also nominated for 5 BRIT Awards, including ‘British Single’, ‘British Video’ for ‘New Rules’, ‘British Female Solo Artist’, ‘Album of the Year’ and ‘Breakthrough Act’.
