Nine-year-old Jacob Thompson has stage 4 high-risk neuroblastoma and has inspired people worldwide by asking for one thing for his final Christmas, homemade Christmas cards.

Jacob’s parents were told that they should start preparing for their son’s passing last month and after they realized they couldn’t afford his funeral costs, they set up a GoFundMe page. Jacob’s mother Michelle wrote, “His father, Roger and myself have been told that we should be spending as much time as possible with him and we should start making arrangements for his passing. It is expected Jacob may pass away within the month. Today Roger and I went to start making prearrangements for Jacob’s funeral, and were sticker shocked. No one thinks about having to do this type of planning for their child and because of that we did nor do not have life insurance on him. We are asking for some assistance from family and friends to help support this.”

This coming weekend, Jacob and his family will celebrate Christmas. His room will be turned into a winter wonderland and for those that can’t contribute by donating, you can be apart of Jacob’s final wish by sending him a Christmas card. Good Housekeeping has outlined all the details on how you can send Jacob some holiday cheer:
