In the latest episode of Apple Music’s Carpool Karaoke: The Series, LeBron James and Ice Cube ride around with James Corden, host of The Late Late Show.

James kicks off the show by asking LeBron, “You get referenced in a lot of hip-hop songs, rap songs — do they have to call you up, or do you just hear it on the radio?”  LeBron then responds with, “No I just hear it.  It’s always surprising — it comes on the radio or the satellite radio or whatever I’m listening to. Then I would hear my name, and it’s like, ‘Oh, let me rewind that. Let me see what actually they said.’ It’s humbling. It’s cool.”

James then asks if LeBron’s mention in Jay-Z’s hit, Empire State of Mind (“If Jeezy’s paying LeBron, I’m paying Dwyane Wade”) was a favourite line of his, LeBron says, “Any time Jay says my name, it’s just very humbling. He’s like my big brother, so he takes care of me.”

Because of this conversation, LeBrown made the decision to text Jay-Z during the show, writing, “I’m chilling with my man, J. Cords.”  When James asked LeBron how Jay would react to his text, LeBron said, “He’s definitely gonna not respond,” and based on what we say, he was right!

And then enters rapper Ice Cube! As James and LeBron starting jamming out to ‘It Was A Good Day’, Cube pops out from the backseat and between the three, that left them with a whole lot of car-seat dancing.

This Tuesday, @kingjames and James Corden team up for the EXPLOSIVE #CarpoolKaraoke season finale on @applemusic
