Day after day, Selena Gomez continues to prove how great she of a big sister she is to her [half] sisters, Gracie Elliot Teefey, 4 and Victoria Gomez, 3.

Just recently, Selena shared a home video on her Instagram page of her and sister and also shared an inspirational message to both of her siblings and her female fans from all over.

In the video, you can hear Selena’s little sister say, “I’m not scared,” soon after Selena replies with, “I know because you’re fearless, right? You’re not scared of anything, right?”  Selena then captioned the video as, “I will forever let my sister know she is strong, bold and beautiful. She will be raised to know her voice matters. She is going to understand the importance behind being a leader and inspire others by her truth.”

In 2013, Selena’s mom, Mandy Teefey and her husband Brian, welcomed their daughter Gracie Elliiot while her dad, Rick Gomez and his wife Sara welcomed a daughter of their own, Victoria in June of 2014.

This empowering message comes exactly one month after Selena revealed to the world that she had undergone a kidney transplant, all part of her lupus treatment.  Her donor … Selena’s best friend / actress, Francia Raisa.

I’m very aware some of my fans had noticed I was laying low for part of the summer and questioning why I wasn’t promoting my new music, which I was extremely proud of. So I found out I needed to get a kidney transplant due to my Lupus and was recovering. It was what I needed to do for my overall health. I honestly look forward to sharing with you, soon my journey through these past several months as I have always wanted to do with you. Until then I want to publicly thank my family and incredible team of doctors for everything they have done for me prior to and post-surgery. And finally, there aren’t words to describe how I can possibly thank my beautiful friend Francia Raisa. She gave me the ultimate gift and sacrifice by donating her kidney to me. I am incredibly blessed. I love you so much sis. Lupus continues to be very misunderstood but progress is being made.
