Beyonce announced in a post on her Instagram page that she was jumping on the remix to J.Balvin and Willy William’s Spanish-language smash hit, ‘Mi Gente’.

But she’s not just doing it for the music, she’s assisting with hurricane relief efforts.

 

 

She said in the post, I am donating my proceeds from this song to hurricane relief charities for Puerto Rico, Mexico and the other affected Caribbean islands. To help go to Beyonce.com/reliefefforts.”

Two other stars who have donated to hurricane relief efforts, specifically in Puerto Rico are Jennifer Lopez and Daddy Yankee.

J-Lo announced that she’d be donating $1 million in proceeds from her Las Vegas shows to relief efforts and in a statement to People magazine, Daddy Yankee revealed he would donate $1 million to assist those hurt by Hurricane Maria,

“As a Puerto Rican who lives on the island, I felt the call, that the rebuilding of my country has to be for a long term. In this initial phase, I want to make sure that every person has a plate to eat. In the long run, my commitment is work to ensure that the largest number of families on the island have a safe roof.”
