It’s been five years since Coldplay has been in Toronto… and let me tell you… they were well worth the wait!

While walking into the Rogers Centre you could tell everyone in attendance was ready to see the beloved U.K. band. Everyone was greeted and given a white bracelet. I was curious to see how these bracelets would be incorporated in tonights show… and WOW! Was I ever blown away…

I’ve never seen Coldplay perform before, but its always been on my bucket list of shows to attend. The only word I can truly use to describe tonights show is… magical!

The roof at the Rogers Centre was open; it was an absolutely beautiful evening in Toronto. Everyone in the stands was waiting in anticipation for Coldplay to walk onto the stage. There was lots of chanting, cheering and even the classic ‘wave’ happened!

As soon was Coldplay appeared on stage everyone went absolutely insane! The little white bracelets that we received on our way into the show lit up in all different colours and blinked to the rhythm of the songs Coldplay performed. Coldplay’s opening song was “A Head Full Of Dreams“, which is also the name of their seventh studio album. Immediately, everyone in attendance was on their feet screaming and dancing.

The fireworks, confetti flying through the sky, giant balloons bouncing in the audience, dazzling light show, and Coldplay’s lead singer, Chris Martin, running up and down a runway, that was attached to one of the two stages they performed on, made the atmosphere incredible.

Coldplay performed all of their hits including “The Scientist“, “Viva La Vida“, “Fix You“, “Clocks“, “Charlie Brown“, and my personal favourite “A Sky Full Of Stars“.

Coldplay’s energy and fire lasted for a full two hours! And, their performance did NOT disappoint! Chris Martin bounced back and forth from guitar to piano, singing with so much passion and intensity.

If you’ve never seen Coldplay perform before, I HIGHLY recommend going to one of their shows. I can truly say this was a life changing experience, and hands down the BEST show I’ve ever attended.
