After four years since his passing, Paul Walker’s mom still grieves her sons unexpected death.

Paul’s mom, Cheryl and his younger brother, Caleb made an appearance on The Dr. Oz Show, where both discussed Paul’s death and his mom admits, “I didn’t really want to go on after hearing the devastating news.”

Cheryl says,  “I know I have this wonderful family, and grandchildren too — I felt guilty for even feeling like that, but I, really, honestly, would wish that I didn’t have to wake up in the morning.  I would never have taken my life but, I really felt that way. Because when you wake up, you have to realize it’s real, and you relive it all over again.  People think that you should just get over it, but they’ve never experienced it, so.  There are people that have, and my heart goes out to all of them. It’s heartbreaking.”

In November of 2013, Paul and his friend, Roger Rodas left an event and both drove off in Roger’s Porsche Carrera GT.  Their car crashed into a concrete lamp post and two trees caught on fire.  While Roger passed away due to multiple trauma, Paul died from combined effects of trauma and burns.

After completing a full investigation, police determined that the car’s speed (between 80 mph (130 km/h) and 93 mph (150 km/h)) and the age of the tires were the main reasons for the crash.

During the 2017 MTV Movie & TV Awards, Paul’s close friend and Fast & Furious co-star, Vin Diesel, accepted the Generation award on behalf of the franchise and paid tribute to Paul.

“I could never stand on this stage and talk about Fast and Furious without giving love to my brother Pablo — our brother Pablo — we hope you’re proud.”
