Firstly, big congratulations goes out to One Direction’s Harry Styles on the release of his debut solo album (stream it below).

The album features the single, ‘Sign of the Times’; Harry released the music video for it earlier this week.

But there’s another song on the album that is garnering a lot of attention because of its rumoured connection to Taylor Swift.

On ‘Two Ghosts’, Harry sings, “Same lips, red / Same eyes, blue / Same white shirt, couple more tattoos…But it’s not you and it’s not me / Tastes so sweet, looks so real / Sounds like something that I used to feel / But I can’t touch what I see / We’re not who we used to be / We’re not who we used to be / We’re just two ghosts singing in the…”

Fans seem to believe that the references to red lips and white shirt are about Taylor, especially when you go back and listen to her song, ‘Style’ (widely believed to be about Harry), more specifically the lyrics, “You’ve got that James Dean daydream look in your eye / And I got that red lip classic thing that you like … You got that long hair, slicked back, white T-shirt.”

So, is ‘Two Ghosts’ about Taylor?

This morning on Nick Grimshaw’s BBC Radio 1 breakfast show, Grimshaw asked Harry point blank, “This has been on the actual news. Just go with it…Apparently, Harry Styles has written a song about Taylor Swift. You’re going to be asked about this, so I’m doing you a favor here. What is this song about? Don’t make me go to the lyrics.”

Harry responded a tad awkwardly saying, “I think it’s pretty self-explanatory…Sometimes things change, and you can do all the same things, and sometimes, it’s just different.”
