Good News:  If you’re a fan of the dance supergroup Major Lazer, then get ready because they are releasing 4 brand new tracks.

This time, Major Lazer is partnering with a Danish lager brand by the name of Tuborg and they’re coming out with a new music campaign by the name of Tuborg OPEN, which has three different artists from around the world to mesh their ‘native styles’ along with Major Lazer’s island vibe in song.

The trio, which includes Diplo, Jillionaire and Walshy Fire will first work with Scriptonite, who is Russia’s ‘most highly praised hip-hop star’, followed by the remaining two that will be revealed in May.

Once Major Lazer creates a beat, the chosen international artist will have the opportunity to change the original track to his or her liking, and what will best reflect their individual hometowns.  The purpose of this competition is to encourage other aspiring musicians and producers to explore their own musical tastes by simply downloading the Tuborg beat at tuborgopen.com.

As for Major Lazer, their album ‘Music Is The Weapon’, which was originally planned to release Jan. 2017 may not come at all because they are focusing on releasing singles instead

According to Diplo, “We have more unreleased music than ever before right now.  Major Lazer has always been a summer act; we’ve always had our streaks during the festival seasons. We’re a little late this year, but we’re going to start putting out records next month into May, a bunch of new singles.”

Diplo also confirms that, “We have about four songs coming out before the summer is over.  A lot of artists right now have proven that you can just flood the market with music” plus, they have been working in the studio with Sam Hunt, The Weeknd, Camila Cabello, Ariana Grande and Travis Scott.

With one new song on the way and the rest will be released in May, for now we can jam out to their latest, Run Up featuring PARTYNEXTDOOR and Nicki Minaj.
