If you’ve missed the sweet sounds of One Direction, then this news will cheer you up as Harry Styles has unveiled his debut solo single, ‘Sign of the Times’!

Harry spoke with Nick Grimshaw, host of BBC’s The Radio 1 Breakfast Show about his new project,

“We just wanted to make what we wanted to listen to and that has been the most fun part for me about making the whole album. In the least weird way possible, it’s my favorite album to listen to at the moment… I hope we did a good job but I really like the album so I hope people like it.”

He went on to discuss the single, ‘Sign of the Times’, “It’s a bit weird, I feel like I’ve been hibernating for so long now and you hear it in the safety of the studio and now it’s time to give birth… it’s the song [debut single] I’m most proud of writing.”

A few weeks ago, a commercial aired during The Voice UK that teased that Harry Styles had plans to reveal something major on April 7th; which turned out to be ‘Sign of the Times’.

 

 

 

We won’t have to wait too long to hear Harry perform the song live as he will be the musical guest on the April 15th episode of Saturday Night Live; Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon will be the guest host that night.

 

 

Last month, the CEO of Columbia, Harry’s label, spoke about his new music, “We’re close and we’re very excited. We have a record we’re incredibly excited about and it’s not far away from being ready. We obviously want everything to be beautifully done, because we think he’s here to stay. Harry has stepped up with the vision of someone who’s authentic.”

The boys of One Direction have been busy with their solo projects since going on hiatus.

Zayn released his debut album Mind of Mine last year and most recently revealed the first single from his sophomore album, a collaboration with PartyNextDoor, ‘Still Got Time’.

 

 

Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson have singles out, ‘This Town’ and ‘Just Hold On’ respectively.

 

 

 

Liam Payne is also hard at work on new music, but he’ll also be on daddy duty as he and Cheryl Cole welcomed a new baby boy into the world late last month.
