Big Sean lit up Rebel tonight and brought lights, lots of love for our city and some inspiring words.

The show had a few openers, including Made in Tyo, who later returned to the stage during Big Sean’s set to perform ‘Skateboard P Remix’, which is definitely in the runnings for my favourite song of the night.

Around ten to 10pm. Big Sean emerged from the shadows to an absolutely insane crowd. He opened with ‘Stick To The Plan/Voices in My Head’, ‘No Favors’ and his verse from Kanye West’s ‘Clique’.

Big Sean spoke to us a lot throughout the night. He gave an inspiring speech about following our dreams and also mentioned that his birthday celebrations will be over after tonight. Big Sean’s birthday may have been a week ago but his fans definitely didn’t mind joining in on the celebrating.

 

 

I think the best part of the night may have been how many classics Big Sean performed, but we also got to hear covers of Drake and Chief Keef along with his latest hits. The show was perfect for any Big Sean fan. Whether you are a long-time listener or a brand new fan of his, there was a pretty solid chance he played your favourite song.

 

So many classics from @bigsean #iDecidedTour the crowd was not disappointed tonight one bit!

Side note: Some of us were kind of hoping we would get to see Jhené Aiko, his gorgeous, singer/songwriter girlfriend who has been all over his social media, but unfortunately we didn’t get to see her.

The final song of the night was Bounce Back, and even though Big Sean kept telling us how much he loved The 6ix; knowing that he chose our city as his one and only Canadian show of the #iDecidedTour might just prove it.
