Even if you aren’t a fan of The Bachelor, there’s a good chance you’ve at least heard of this season’s breakout star (sorry Nick!), Corinne Olympios.

Every season of The Bachelor/Bachelorette/Bachelor in Paradise, there is a suitor that stands out as the ‘villain’; this season it’s Corinne.

In a not-so-surprising story, Corinne’s ex, Keith Berman has spoken out and said that her ‘villain’ persona on the show is just an act.

He told Us Weekly that he wasn’t at all surprised to see her on The Bachelor, “It’s right up her alley…She’s got a great personality for it. I was pumped that she was on it. I knew she would kill it, honestly.”

He went on to say that the Corinne that we see is really just an “exaggerated representation” of herself and that she’s “very normal” and not-so-shockingly is “playing it up for TV”.

ISSUES

He added, “They’re trying to portray her as some stupid girl, but she’s really not that dumb…She knows exactly what she’s doing… She’s a very good-looking girl, and she’s just aggressive///She’s very aggressive, and when you’re that good-looking of a girl, and you’re aggressive, most guys aren’t going to turn — who’s going to turn a girl that looks like that down? She knows how to play up her sexiness. Nick is into it, and she knows.”

IM NOT STUPID

As is this case with many contestants, Berman thinks Corinne is just setting herself up for the next Bachelor spin-off series, Bachelor in Paradise, She skipped the rose ceremony — no one’s ever done that…She’s setting herself up. Bachelor is going to invite her back for God knows what spinoff, Paradise and this and that. She’s got followers growing by the second, so she’s clearly doing something right.”

Corrine also appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and spoke about her time on The Bachelor.

Find out if Corinne makes it another week and continues her journey to win Nick Viall’s heart on tomorrow night’s episode of The Bachelor, 8pm on City.
